Screen International Critics' Choice

Screen International is delighted to be partnered again with PÖFF on our Critics' Choice selection of ten films, titles especially selected by our chief critics for screening in Tallinn. This year's movies reflect the best of world cinema from US independents like Winter's Bone, Black Swan and Somewhere to instant European classics like Potiche, Four Times and Olivier Assayas' landmark five hour movie cum miniseries Carlos, Cannes Palme d'Or winner Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall Past Lives from Thailand and three fascinating films from eastern European film-makers – My Joy from the Ukraine's Sergei Loznitsa, Silent Souls from Russia's Aleksei Fedorchenko and the latest from Polish veteran Jerzy Skolimowski Essential Killing.

It's a bravura lineup of young and established film-making talent and Screen is proud to be associated with them.
